Municipalities
Photovoltaic projects can only be implemented successfully and sustainably when developed in alignment with the interests of the local municipality. For this reason, Ampermo always pursues a partnership-based and transparent approach.
Throughout the entire permitting process, we provide all relevant information to ensure that municipal decision-makers – such as the local council – can responsibly weigh climate protection targets, financial aspects, local value creation, and the visual impact on the landscape.
Open dialogue with local residents is a matter of course for us. Input from the public is incorporated into the planning process.
Benefits for the Municipality
01
Contribution to Climate Goals & Energy Security
For example, a photovoltaic system on 20 hectares of land can cover the annual electricity needs of around 5,000 households. Our battery storage systems stabilize the power grid, helping to achieve climate goals and secure energy supply at the same time.
02
Financial Participation & Business Tax Revenue
Ampermo can offer municipalities a financial share of up to €0.002 per kilowatt-hour of solar power fed into the grid (§6 EEG). Projects that include battery storage generate higher business tax revenues compared to conventional photovoltaic installations.
03
Cooperation with Local Businesses
We prefer to work with local businesses – from planning offices to construction support and site maintenance (e.g. landscaping or vegetation control).
Example Process: Urban Land Use Planning Procedure
The municipality adopts an official resolution to initiate or amend a development plan. Ampermo provides all relevant project information in advance and explains it transparently to all stakeholders.
Citizens and public interest bodies – such as environmental or building authorities – are involved early in the process.
The environmental effects of the planned facility on soil, water, climate, and the visual landscape are assessed and documented. Ampermo fully covers the cost of this assessment.
A draft development plan is created and made available for public review. Comments and objections are collected, reviewed, and taken into consideration. A revised version is then displayed a second time for public consultation.
The local council adopts the development plan as a legally binding statute. Ampermo then submits a building permit application or initiates a simplified notification procedure.
Why Ampermo
Ampermo manages the process professionally and transparently. All project documentation is prepared to meet the highest technical standards. Critical questions are addressed openly and early. Local conditions are always carefully considered.
Municipalities and citizens are treated as valued partners, and projects are planned in such a way that potential negative effects – such as on the landscape – are minimized as much as possible.
There is no financial risk to the municipality, as Ampermo covers all procedural costs. We are happy to conclude an urban development agreement that provides the municipality with full legal and financial security for long-term cooperation.
