TOP 100 of the most innovative SMEs in Germany

  • Sustainable energy solutions for industry & commerce and large-scale energy projects with photovoltaics, battery storage and charging infrastructure
  • Financing and long-term partnership as differentiation: Ampermo takes over planning, financing, construction, operation & maintenance
  • Presentation of the prestigious, independent “TOP 100” innovation award on June 27 in Mainz

Industrial and commercial enterprises are looking for solutions for climate-friendly, low-cost power supply, while real estate developers want to future-proof their properties and increase their value. Municipalities and owners of large open spaces are looking for ways to optimize the revenue situation with their land. Wiesbaden-based Ampermo GmbH offers the right solutions for these challenges – and has now been awarded the “TOP 100” seal as one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany.

The TOP 100 award has been presented since 1993. An independent, scientifically supervised jury selects the award winners on the basis of over 100 well-founded evaluation criteria. Ampermo receives the award in the category of companies with up to 50 employees.

Ampermo realizes integrated energy systems – from planning to operation – based on photovoltaics, battery storage and, if required, charging infrastructure. The business model follows the “Own & Operate” principle: Ampermoremains the owner of the systems, assumes full implementation and bears the investment costs.

Ampermo combines two business areas under one roof: the implementation of individual supply solutions for industrial and commercial customers and the development of large-scale projects to integrate renewable energies into the electricity infrastructure.

Ampermo’s innovation lies in the combination of technically sophisticated, integrated energy solutions and its own financing model. This enables industrial companies and commercial customers, such as logistics companies, as well as real estate or land owners, to benefit from renewable energies without having to invest their own capital. Ampermo not only handles the implementation, but also the financing and operation of the systems.

“Many companies with high electricity requirements need pragmatic solutions to reduce energy costs or implement the mobility transition economically. At the same time, local authorities and owners of larger areas are looking for sources of income. Projects in which the energy transition is sensibly supported by photovoltaics in combination with battery storage are ideally suited in both cases – economically attractive and climate-friendly,” explains Mahinde Abeynaike, CEO and founder of Ampermo. “Our mission is simple: clean energy – where it is needed, exactly when it is needed.”

The award of the TOP 100 seal not only recognizes Ampermo’s innovative solutions, but also the culture of innovation practiced within the company. Ampermo relies on flat hierarchies, interdisciplinary collaboration and plenty of room for personal responsibility. Here, innovation comes from within the team – agile, courageous and solution-oriented.

“Our customers can rely on us to provide solutions of first-class quality and implement them with a high degree of precision. We stand by them as a reliable long-term partner – for a sustainable energy transition,” adds Prof. Dr. Julia Daecke, Managing Director and COO of Ampermo.

On June 27, 2025, Ampermo will receive the TOP 100 award at the German SME Summit in Mainz. Science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, who is accompanying the competition as a mentor, will personally honor the award winners.
